thank you Jim. I worked in the criminal and juvenile justice system for many years. In the legislature, I chaired the prison and community corrections funding committee. Please share this as a column. Please also note that our Gov. screwed up our wonderful community corrections system in one of her reorg efforts; the effort was not supported by the corrections community,

Thanks for your comments, Ralph. When you say share as a column, who-where do you mean? If you have any suggestions/contacts I will appreciate it. It makes me sad that the ban on volunteers into prisons has continued after Covid. The issue I have heard is that they now say a prison staff person has to be present in all places with volunteers - so of course, there are not enough staff people to do that. I also heard they discontinued leader dog training program. Those dogs brought out the best in my guys.
